Fire danger will increase across the north state, as stronger winds, and the chance for thunderstorms return to the region this afternoon. Winds will gust up to around 20mph out of the South for the valley, and up to around 15mph out of the Southwest for the mountains.
Dry fuels, paired with the increasing threat of mountain thunderstorms could pose a big risk for lightning sparked fires this afternoon, and evening. The chance for thunderstorms will continue into your Wednesday forecast, before mild conditions return for the end of the week.
