Redding police arrested a Wyoming woman on suspicion of driving under the influence after she collided with a motorcyclist downtown Saturday.
Police responded to the area of Pine Street and Lincoln Street after am Acura Sedan collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Tearney Lemon, 19, of Palo Cedro, was transported to Mercy Medical Center with a fractured wrist. The driver of the Acura, 27-year-old Mary Durney, was uninjured.
An investigation revealed that Lemon was going northbound on Pine Street in the far left lane, while Durney was northbound on Pine Street in the center lane. Durney attempted to make a left turn onto Lincoln Street and turned directly in the path of Lemon, causing the collision.
Officers say Durney was driving under the influence of drugs and was arrested at the scene.
