Mostly sunny skies, light winds, and slightly warmer temperatures are ahead for your Friday forecast. The lack of clouds over the region is allowing for temperatures to cool more than yesterday morning. Valley areas are starting out in the high 50's to low 60's, and mountain areas have dipped into the high 30's to high 40's overnight. High temperatures will be slightly warmer this afternoon. Valley areas will range in the mid 80's to low 90's, and mountain areas will top out in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Winds are projected to be light in the valley, and out of the Southwest to 10mph in the mountains. Fire danger will stay moderate through the upcoming weekend.
Low pressure tracking through the Pacific Northwest will keep high temperatures in check across the north state this weekend. Valley areas will be above average, but will only climb into the mid to high 80's. There will be periods of thin clouds tracking through the region, but conditions will stay mostly sunny and dry. Warmer conditions return for next week, as the valley returns to the high 80's to low 90's on Monday. There will be a chance of wet weather returning towards the end of next week, but models are currently not in agreement on the timing or strength of the projected system. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
