Partly to mostly cloudy skies, and mostly mild conditions are ahead for your Friday. Most of the rain and snow associated with the system that passed through yesterday is now moving off to the South and East of the north state. There is still a slight chance for some isolated light showers early this morning, but the potential for more wet weather looks unlikely for today. Temperatures have dipped into the low to mid 40's in the valley, and into the low 20's to low 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the low to mid 50's in the valley, and into the high 30's to mid 40's in the higher elevations. Winds are projected to be light today.
The next wet system will arrive along the coast this evening, and will spread heavy precipitation across the north state overnight. The heaviest precipitation looks to wind down early Saturday morning, leaving the potential for lighter showers during the day Saturday. The next impressive system will arrive in the region late Saturday into early Sunday, and will persist through Monday morning. Several more wet systems will be likely to pass through the region over the next week. Temperatures are not expected to change much, and will top out in the low to mid 50's in the valley. I hope everyone enjoys the break from the wet weather today, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
