Mostly Dry & Cold For Your Christmas Day

Dec 25, 2015 10:32 AM by Cort Klopping

Mostly cloudy skies, cold temperatures, and a diminish chance for mountain snow showers are ahead for your Christmas morning. The potential for showers will taper off this morning, with just a lingering slight chance for Sierra snow showers this afternoon. Most areas will see clearing skies becoming partly cloudy today. Temperatures have dipped into the low to mid 30's for the valley overnight, and into the high teens to low 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the high 40's to low 50's in the valley, and in the high 20's to low 40's in the mountains. Winds will be out of the North to 10mph this afternoon. Conditions will be much better for those hitting the roads for holiday travel today.

Dry and cold weather will persist through most of the weekend, before a slight chance for showers returns to the region on Sunday night. That chance for showers will last through Monday morning, before dry weather returns for most of next week. Temperatures will be close to today's through the weekend, but will become slightly more moderate next week. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
