Most of the Power Restored after Outage Affects 900 Customers in South Chico

(UPDATE) 6:00 p.m.- PG&E Outage maps indicate most of the power has been restored to the 900 customers affected by the outage in south Chico this afternoon. Initial reports indicate the cause of the outage was a blown transformer in the area.

A possible transformer fire has knocked out power to several businesses in South Chico in the area of 20th Street and Forest Avenue. Traffic signals are also out. PG&E states there are currently 900 customers in south Chico area without power since 4:40 p.m. They're still investigating the cause.
