Morning Fog & Warm Temperatures Ahead In Your Forecast

Jan 20, 2015 9:36 AM by Cort Klopping

Patchy fog, and cooler temperatures have returned to the region overnight. Visibility has not been as limited this morning, with the exception of Red Bluff. Visibility there has dipped to around a quarter of a mile, but is rebounding already. Temperatures have dropped into the high 30's to high 40's for the valley, mid to high 30's in the foothills, and mid 20's to mid 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the high 50's to mid 60's in the valley, low 60's in the foothills, and high 40's to mid 50's in the higher elevations. Clearing skies will give way to mostly sunny conditions for your Tuesday afternoon.

Temperatures will continue to be warm over the next several days, and morning fog will also be a concern. Clearing skies, and a big warm up are in store for the weekend. Redding could see new high temperature records set, especially on Sunday. The current record for Sunday in Redding is 73 degrees, and the latest projected has a high of 75 degrees on that day. Temperatures will be above 70 degrees for the entire valley this weekend.

I hope everyone stays safe on the roads this morning and has a great Tuesday!
