More Wet Weather Possible In Your Extended Forecast

May 17, 2015 2:19 AM by Cort Klopping

Showers, and thunderstorms returned to the higher elevations Saturday evening. The main line of thunderstorms developed in Trinity County with only minor activity spilling down to the South. Areas of Lassen County also had some showers develop early on in the evening. Afternoon high temperatures climbed into the mid 70's to low 80's for the valley, and into the mid 60's to mid 70's in the mountains. Winds were only up to around 10mph out of the South.

Conditions will be very similar for Sunday, and the potential for showers will strengthen in the higher elevations. There will be a chance of showers returning to the valley over the next few days, but the best chance will continue to be in the mountains. Temperatures will slowly climb, and valley locations will be back into the high 70's to mid 80's by the end of the upcoming work week. I hope everyone is having a great Saturday, and a wonderful weekend!
