Wet weather returned to the north state last night, and more showers look likely through your Friday forecast. Over a tenth of an inch has been recorded in Redding so far, while areas of the Northern Mountains have almost had 3/4 of an inch since last night. The showers will diminish throughout the day, and are already becoming lighter, and more scattered. Snow levels are staying above 7000 feet.
Temperatures are starting out in the mid 40's to low 50's for the valley, mid 30's to mid 40's in the mountains, and mid to high 40's in the foothills. Valley high temperatures will be in the mid 50's this afternoon, and mountain areas will be in the mid 40's to low 50's. Winds will be out of the East up to 10mph.
There will be a break in the wet weather on Saturday, with more wet weather returning on Sunday. Clearing skies, and warmer conditions are ahead for next week. Valley high temperatures will climb into the mid 60's by Tuesday, and stay in that range through Thursday. I hope everyone stays safe on the wet roads this morning, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
