It was a wet day around the North State today, and another storm will bring us more rain on Sunday! Even more wet weather is coming next week.
Rain returned to the North State today, and most areas in the Valley saw a decent soaking. This main band of rain is moving southward, and will turn to showers overnight. Those showers will dry up Saturday morning, and tomorrow looks mainly dry after about 9am. The exception will be the Sierra Nevada, where snow showers will be possible throughout the day.
That break won't last long. Another storm riding the fast moving jet stream (which is pointed at northern California right now) will bring us more rain Sunday. Additional moisture in the Pacific will keep us wet through next Tuesday! No one day will see a lot of rain... just persistent days of rain coming our way.
We may see a break on Wednesday, but yet another storm will keep it wet on Christmas Eve! Santa may have to use Rudolph's nose this year to get around northern California. Long range models are drying us out for Christmas Day, however, with a decent amount of sunshine.
But it looks like our days leading up to Christmas will be wet! If you're dreaming of a wet Christmas Eve... your dreams may come true!
