Reports of suspicious activity netted officers more than a dozen drug-related arrests at a local motel, the Redding Police Department reported.
Redding Police Department’s Neighborhood Policing Unit received several complaints that Room 124 at the Redding Inn had drug activity occurring.
Officers contacted the individuals listed on the room rental. Lee Martin Kennedy, 57, Anthony Victory Marchand, 26, and Jonathan Blake Woods, 41, were found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
In addition to those individuals, 10 other were found in the motel room. Eric James Haubner, 27, was implicated in the drug possession and is on parole as a high risk sex offender.
Antonio Max Castillo, 30, Michael Richard Camacho, 36, Terry Lee Crosley, 20, Latrice Gracie Louise Parker 33, were all implicated in the drug possession and all on active felony probation. Russell Edward Howsmon Jr., 22, was implicated and is on active misdemeanor probation.
Also implicated was Nicole Marie Burton 28 years, Summer Hope Sheffer 20 years, Travis Lynn Valenzuela 29 years, and Monica Denise Gaytan Webb 22 years.
In the motel room, officers located 20 needles and syringes, 4 methamphetamine smoking devices, 14 heroin smoking devices, 20 items of foil with heroin residue, four spoons for injecting heroin, four bindles with heroin, two digital drug scales, a quantity of methamphetamine, more heroin, numerous narcotic pills, and some items of suspected stolen property.
Lee Kennedy, Anthony Marchand, and Jonathan Woods were again arrested for maintaining a residence for the possession, use, and trafficking of illegal drugs.
Howsmon, Haubner, Castillo and Camacho were arrested for being at a residence maintained for the purpose of illegal drug trafficking. Crosley was arrested for violation of probation and for being at a residence maintained for the purpose of illegal drug trafficking, as well as possession of methamphetamine. Parker was arrested for violation of probation, for being in possession of drug paraphernalia, and for being in possession of narcotic pills.
Berton and Sheffer were arrested for being at a residence maintained for the purpose of illegal drug trafficking. Valenzuela was arrested for being at a residence maintained for the purpose of illegal drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroin. Webb was arrested for being at a residence maintained for the purpose of illegal drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All 13 people were taken to Shasta County jail and booked for their charges.
Additional charges will be reviewed and considered against the Redding Inn and its owner by the District Attorney’s Office for ongoing criminal activity.
