LOS ANGELES (AP) - More than 100 people have been evacuated as a precaution after a natural gas leak in the Hollywood area.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said Saturday the gas line was damaged during work by the Department of Water and Power. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters said more than 100 people were evacuated from six buildings. Dozens others were told to shelter in place.

A boulevard was closed after the leak, causing traffic congestion.
