Cloudy, cooler weather today with even a few light showers. And another potentially stronger storm is heading our way later this week!
A weak storm moved into northern California today, bringing clouds and a few light showers that really knocked our temperatures down to Fall-like levels. This storm will move out overnight, but enough moisture will linger behind that we shouldn't see too much sun tomorrow and temperatures will remain well below average.
A bigger storm from the Gulf of Alaska will drop into northern California by Wednesday. This one will bring a breezy south wind (25 to 30 mph gusts in the Valley) and light rain! I'm expecting around 1/10" of rain for the Valley, with higher amounts in the mountains... And it's possible Mt. Shasta and Lassen Peak get a dusting of snow.
That storm will move east by Thursday, and the sun will return. High pressure will return and our temperatures in the Valley will return to near 90 by Friday and stay there through the weekend.
But before that happens... another nice Fall preview is coming our way this week, with cooler (and somewhat wetter) weather!
