It was mainly dry around the North State today, and that will continue again tomorrow. Our next storm arrives early Saturday... with more out in the Pacific after that!
Outside of a few morning snow showers in the Sierra Nevada, and a few evening showers in Siskyou & Trinity counties, the North State saw a break in the rain... our first dry day this week! We'll see another dry day tomorrow, before the rain returns Saturday.
Saturday's storm is weaker than our recent big ones... but we'll still see good rain from it, about 1/4" to 1/3" in the Valley south of Redding (Redding may see up to 1/2"). Clouds should roll in late Friday afternoon, and the rain will begin very early Saturday morning, turning to showers by the afternoon. Snow levels should remain near 3500' (where they've been all week), and there's not much of a pressure gradient with this storm, so there shouldn't be much wind.
We'll see another break on Sunday... look for some sunshine! Our next storm rolls in Monday afternoon. It looks very similar to the Saturday storm... similar winds, rain totals, and snow levels.
Another break on Tuesday, then another storm on Wednesday. The extended forecast continues this... No whoppers heading our way, but just a steady stream on decent storms. Not enough to cause flooding, but certainly filling the lakes, slowly but surely...
