More wet weather is ahead for your Tuesday forecast. Scattered rain, and snow showers have lingered into the morning, but most of that activity has been isolated in Butte, and Plumas Counties. Another system will approach the West Coast this afternoon, and that will spread more widespread precipitation into the region. Snow levels will be at around 3500 feet for the Northern Mountains, and 4500 feet for the Northern Sierra. Foothills may continue to see a mix of rain, and snow in some of the higher elevations.
Temperatures are starting out in the mid to high 40's for the valley, and mid to high 30's in the mountains. High temperatures will be in the high 40's to mid 50's for the valley, and high 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Winds will be up to around 15mph out of the South, and Southeast.
Showers will linger into your Wednesday forecast, but there will be a short break from the wet weather on Thursday. More rain returns on Friday, before dry and warmer weather returns this weekend. I hope everyone stays safe on the roads, and has a great Tuesday!
