Partly to mostly cloudy skies, average temperatures, and the slight chance of showers are ahead for your Wednesday Farmcast. There is a 40 percent chance of some precipitation in the Redding area, and a 30 percent chance of precipitation in the Chico area. While this chance is elevated compared to yesterday, the best potential for showers will stay in the higher elevations. Valley temperatures have dipped into the mid 50's to low 60's overnight, and are projected to climb into the mid 70's to low 80's this afternoon. Winds will be up to 10mph out of the Southeast, and humidity values will fall to 25 to 35 percent. Your Wednesday morning sunrise is set for 5:49am, and sunset will be at 8:20pm.
A better chance for showers will be ahead for the valley on Thursday, and Friday. Clearing skies, and a warming trend will then arrive for the weekend. The latest projections have valley locations climbing into the high 70's to mid 80's on Saturday, and widespread 80's this weekend. There will be another chance for wet weather returning toward the middle of next week.
