Bit by bit, Chico is digging itself out of an economic slump. And things are looking much better for local job seekers.
Many North State businesses are reporting more employment opportunities for the first time in years.
Chico’s rise in recent hires mirrors the national trend. According to the Labor Department, job openings rose to 3.9 million in February—which was the highest in five years.
