The potential for active weather will strengthen across the north state in your Thursday forecast. Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 50's in the valley, and in the low 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to climb into the low 70's for the valley, and into the mid 50's to mid 60's in the mountains. Clouds will fluctuate throughout the day, and the chance for showers will become more prevalent towards the afternoon. Showers, and thunderstorms will be possible across the entire region, and the potential for snow will fall down to around 5000 feet. Winds will be out of the Southeast from 10 to 15mph.
The potential for showers will linger across the entire region tomorrow, with the best chance for weekend showers lingering in the mountains. Most of Saturday, and Sunday will be dry, but another system will be approaching the West Coast late Sunday. The chance for widespread precipitation will return for most of next week, but will diminish heading towards your weekend forecast. I hope everyone keeps those umbrellas handy, and has a great Thursday!
