More Active Weather Possible In Your Extended Forecast

May 19, 2015 9:30 AM by Cort Klopping

Partly to mostly cloudy skies, below average temperatures, and the potential for active conditions will continue to be ahead for the north state. There will be a 50 to 60 percent chance of precipitation for the mountains, while valley areas can expect around a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers. There will also be a slight chance of thunderstorms on the way for the next few afternoons/evenings. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 50's to low 60's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 40's to low 50's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid to high 70's in the valley, and into the low 60's to low 70's in the mountains. Winds will be out of the Southeast to 10mph in the valley, and out of the West to 10mph in the mountains.

There will not be much of a change through the end of the week, but the chance for widespread showers will become more likely Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will continue to be below average through Friday, but will climb back to around average this weekend. I hope everyone is enjoying these cooler temperatures, and has a great Tuesday!
