More active weather is possible in your Wednesday forecast. The chance for mountain showers, and thunderstorms will return this afternoon, and a slight chance of isolated showers, and thunderstorms will be ahead for the valley later on today. There is also a slight chance of some light showers during the late morning in Plumas, and Lassen Counties. Temperatures dipped into the low to mid 50's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the high 70's to mid 80's in the valley, and mountain areas can expect to have highs in the mid 60's to mid 70's. Variable winds are ahead for the valley. The northern end of the valley will have sustained winds up to 15mph out of the North, with gusts up to 25mph. The mid valley will have winds out of the South up to around 10mph.
The potential for showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the mountains over the next couple of days, and a slight chance for active weather will continue in the valley. Cooler temperatures will be ahead for the end of the week, and the start of the weekend. There will be a chance for some showers heading through the region on Saturday. A modest warming trend, and mild conditions will then return to the region on Sunday, and last through the start of next week. I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!
