Fire danger will be in the moderate to high range for the north state on this Monday. Temperatures are expected to stay hot, with some areas of the valley climbing into the high 90's. Mountain areas will have high temperatures between the mid 80's to mid 90's, but cooler temperatures will return to the region midweek.
The chance for thunderstorms will raise the concern for lightning sparked fires for today, and tomorrow. After that, conditions are expected to become much more mild by Wednesday. Winds will also be relatively light today, with gusts only expected to climb to around 10mph out of the South.
