Monday evening North State fire updates

Here is a comprehensive list of the latest information on all the fires tearing through northern California.

Eiler Fire
Size: 28,600 acres
Containment: 10%
Location: Six miles northwest of Old Station
Date started: Thursday, July 31
Cause: Lightning
Road Closures: Highway 99 from Highway 299 to Highway 44, Cassel/Fall River Road, Pacific Crest Trail, and 1000 lakes Wilderness.
Evacuations: Communities of Cassel, Johnson Park, Eddy Estates, and Hat Creek Valley. Residents living in Burney are being advised to prepare to evacuate if the order is given.
The Red Cross has set up evacuation centers at Fall River High School, 44215 Walnut St. in McArthur and Foothill High School, 9733 Deshutes Road in Palo Cedro.

Day Fire
Size: 13,047 acres
Containment: 60%
Location: Modoc County, near Day Road about 2 miles north of the community of Day
Date started: Wednesday, July 30
Cause: Lightning
Road Closures: None
Evacuations: None
Structures Burned: 5 residences and 1 outbuilding
Five firefighters have suffered minor injuries battling this fire.

Bald Fire
Size: 39,850 acres
Containment: 20%
Location: Shasta County, eight miles southeast of Fall River Mills
Date started: Wednesday, July 30
Cause: Lightning
No structures have been threatened or burned by this fire.

Coffee Fire
Size: 4,487 acres
Containment: 10%
Location: Trinity County, 10 miles NW of Trinity Center
Date started: Wednesday, July 30
Cause: Lightning
No road closures or evacuations have been ordered as a result of this fire and no structures have been damaged or threatened.

Little Deer Fire
Size: 5,279 acres
Containment: 54%
Location: Siskiyou County, north of Grass Lake near Little Deer Mountain on the Goosenest Ranger District.
Motorists using Highway 97 are encouraged to slow down and use caution when driving in the fire area. It is subject to periodic closures. In addition to Highway 97, the fire is threatening private timberlands and the Union Pacific Railroad. No structures are threatened at this time.

July Complex Fire
Size: 5,523 acres
Containment: 0%
Location: Whites-4 miles East of Sawyer Bar, Log-6 miles West of Greenview, Leef-7 miles Southwest of Callahan
An Evacuation Advisory is in effect for Quartz Valley between Scott River road and Oro Fino road. An evacuation center has been set up at Scott Valley Jr High School located at 237 Butte Street, in Fort Jones.
