Door by door and day by day, the search for a missing young Richfield man continues.
Nineteen year old Rudy Alcaraz has been missing for almost two weeks. He was last seen on Oct. 10 at a Richfield house on the 5800 block of Walnut St.
“His dad hasn't heard from him ever since and he's the kind of kid that calls and lets them know where here's at,” said Anahi Padilla, a family friend.
Alcaraz was inside the Walnut St. house when Tehama County Sheriffs raided the property for drug cultivation. Officers arrested several people and seized several pounds of marijuana. Some of the people involved in the drug processing fled on foot. Alcaraz was one of them and he hasn’t been seen since. His family now fears the worst.
“He's just been waiting for him and seeing if someone has him,” Padilla said of Alcaraz’s father Heriberto.
Alcarz’s family filed a report with Corning Police last week but has now taken matters into their own hands: posting flyers at the local market, putting information in mailboxes and telling their story to neighbors.
“If someone has him or knows anything about him, please let us know,” Padilla said.
Corning Police say they have done a complete investigation on this case and that there is not a warrant for the arrest of Alcaraz.
