Butte County Search and Rescue teams are looking for a 9-year-old boy who walked away from Nord Country School Thursday morning.

The child’s name is Wyatt, and he was last seen leaving the school on California Street in Nord around 10:30 a.m.

Authorities say it appears as though Wyatt left the school on his own accord, and say they’ve found nothing to indicate foul play is involved.

He is four feet tall, around 50 pounds, and is wearing a blue shirt with yellow and white writing, camo shorts, and black Converse shoes.

Search and Rescue crews are sending a full response to the area, and are asking everyone nearby to be on the lookout for Wyatt.
