The California Lottery announced Thursday morning that someone who purchased a Powerball ticket in Siskiyou County is now a millionaire.
The top winning ticket for Wednesday's draw is worth $1,651,860 and was purchased at Lane's Market in Dorris. The ticket's owner had the numbers 2-16-43-45-51 and only missed the number 35 for the Powerball grand prize.
For selling the winning ticket, Lane's Market will get $8,259, or one half of one percent of the winning amount.
Dorris has a population of a little more than 900 and is located in the Butte Valley between Mount Shasta and the Oregon border on Highway 97.
