The sun was out today, and temperatures warmed up nicely. Look for the nice weather to last through the weekend, but Valley thunderstorms could return next week.
The clouds from our storm earlier this week finally cleared out last night, and we enjoyed a sunny and warmer day today. Look for more of the same Friday, with a slight warm up in temperatures.
A weak storm will brush the North State Saturday, bringing a few showers to Trinity & Siskiyou counties, but that's about it. The rest of the North State will see mostly cloudy skies, but still relatively mild temperatures.
The sun will return Sunday, and temperatures will warm up to almost 80 in the Valley (with the help of a bit of a north breeze).
Another cold low from the Gulf of Alaska will drop into the North State next Tuesday, but models are backing off on it's strength somewhat today. It still should have enough cold air and instability to generate a few Valley thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon... but not many. Skies will clear afterwards, and temperatures will return to the 70's (and maybe 80's!) by later next week.
