Mild temperatures, and hazy skies are ahead for the north state in your Friday forecast. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 60's for the valley this morning, and mountain areas have dipped into the mid 40's to high 50's overnight. High temperatures are projected to climb into the low to mid 90's for the valley, and into the mid 80's to low 90's for the mountains this afternoon. Winds will be light throughout the morning allowing smoke from the fires in Trinity county to settle across the region, but South winds will help air quality rebound for the latter half of the day. Winds will be out of the Southeast to around 10mph.
At or below average temperatures, and hazy skies will continue through your extended forecast. The mid valley will be in the low 90's through the middle of next week, while the northern end of the valley will climb into the mid to high 90's during that time. Temperatures will then cool into the high 80's to low 90's late next week. Dry weather, and hazy skies are expected to persist through the entire extended forecast. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
