Mild, and comfortable conditions are ahead for your Friday forecast. Some clouds are tracking back into parts of the Sierra, Cascades, Foothills, and valley, but those will clear out today. There is a very slight chance of showers, and thunderstorms returning to the Sierra/Cascades later today, but the active conditions look to be shifting to the South, and East. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 40's to low 50's in the valley overnight, and into the low 30's to low 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 70's to mid 80's in the valley, and into the high 60's to high 70's in higher elevations. Winds will vary today, heading out of the North up to around 15mph for the northern end of the valley, and out of the Southeast up to 10mph in the mid valley.
The mild weather will continue in your weekend forecast, but temperatures will be warming up over the next couple of days. Sunny to mostly sunny skies will be dominating your weekend. Mothers Day looks ideal, with 80's ahead for the valley, and limited clouds tracking through the region.
Cooler temperatures are returning next week. Valley areas will hover between the high 70's to low 80's, with partly cloudy skies. There will be a chance of thunderstorms returning, but the best chance for the active weather looks to be limited to the Northern Mountains. I hope everyone enjoys the comfortable weather ahead over the next few days, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
