Scattered storms are popping up in the mountains Sunday afternoon. The activity will continue over the next few days. On Monday and Tuesday, scattered showers and storms can be expected over the mountains as well as the foothills. There will be a slight chance for a shower or storm in the valley late Monday into Tuesday.
Red Flag Warnings are in effect for the mountains and foothills through Tuesday morning. Storms could have lots of lightning and could spark up additional wildfires across the North State. Fire Weather Watches are in effect for the valley Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.
The temperatures will be slightly cooler by the middle of the week and conditions will start to dry up with more sunshine by the end of the week.
