Red Flag Warnings are in effect for the northern mountains as well as the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including the foothills, from 11AM to 10PM Monday.
Monsoonal moisture is returning to the North State on Monday. Scattered showers and storms will move through the mountains and foothills. Even valley locations will have a chance for an isolated storm. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 80s and 90s. Moisture will linger Tuesday with more scattered showers and storms. Temperatures will remain cooler.
The bulk of the moisture will move out by Wednesday with scattered showers remaining in the mountains but clearer skies return to the valley. Highs for the remainder of the week will get back to normal ranging from the middle 90s to near 100.
