Officers with the newly formed Butte County Code Enforcement team uncovered a large-scale marijuana operation Thursday when a tip led them to an Oroville home.
According to a news release from the Butte County Sheriff's Office, Two Oregon residents were arrested after ‘Measure A' enforcement agents searched a home in the 1100 block of Viewcrest Drive in Oroville Thursday and found 114 growing marijuana plants in two separate greenhouses, 137 growing marijuana plants in the residence, and 318 marijuana cuttings.
Detectives say they also found five grams of hash oil, and 22 pounds of processed marijuana in the home. An additional 16 pounds of processed marijuana was found hidden on the property.
Two men were arrested on scene, 26-year-old Travis Greer of Oregon and 29-year-old Samuel Betts, also of Oregon were arrested on multiple charges related to the cultivation of marijuana and booked into the Butte County Jail.
