SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The massive storm in the San Francisco Bay Area didn't stop a small group of demonstrators from decrying alleged racial injustice and police brutality.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports about 20 protesters braved the pelting rains and high winds in downtown San Francisco Thursday night. The protest was peaceful with no arrests.
The small protest was in stark contrast to the recent massive rallies that have been held across the Bay Area and the nation following grand juries decisions to not indict two white officers in the deaths of two unarmed black men in Ferguson, Missouri and New York.
Chirag Bhakta, 27, of San Francisco said the group specifically protested in the storm, when it was inconvenient, because "life is inconvenient for black men all the time."
