In case of a real-life emergency, Feather River Hospital, working with the city of Paradise, local EMS and dispatchers hosted a Mass Casualty Drill Thursday morning.
More than 30 volunteers were on-hand, to stage a scenario in which several cars and a school bus collideded at the corner of Pearson and Clark Roads, setting off a chain reaction that caused an explosion at the gas station.
The goal was to help different agencies train and respond to a situation in which several people were injured or killed at once.
The hospital hosts real-life training like this several times a year.
