A Marysville Police officer will be getting a lifetime achievement award from the California Highway Patrol for his excellence in tracking down stolen cars and returning them to their owners.

Sergeant Christopher Sachs has a long history of success. Since 2001 he has reportedly recovered 103 occupied stolen vehicles, 102 unoccupied stolen vehicles and identified a vehicle theft ring.

When Sachs uncovered the theft ring, multiple stolen vehicles and parts were recovered and three suspects were arrested.

Sachs will be given the award during tomorrow night's Marysville City Council meetings.
