A suspicious note posted online, but taken seriously by Marysville High School Students, apparently came from another state and was not directed at the California School. According to Marysville Joint School District Superintendent Gay Todd, the threat was traced to a laptop IP address in Georgia. Thursday night, Marysville Police Chief Aaron Easton said his department was made aware of the post being shared on social media that appeared to threaten Marysville High School students. It read, 'Don't go to school MHS students January 28, 2016 pray you don't die.' Todd said students saw it on Instagram and became alarmed. They contacted school officials, and the police department was notified. Todd said, following an investigation, they determined 'it was a piece of toilet paper, in a toilet bowl, not on our campus.' Marysville Police said they are questioning a person of interest in connection with the case.
