Marysville Man Arrested after setting home on fire

A Yuba County man is facing four charges including attempted murder after he set a house on fire injuring the woman inside.
According to the Marysville Police, Charles Edward Chandler, 28 had a disagreement between 35-year-old, Nicole Leigh Miller over marijuana.
Police say around 7:10 p.m. Monday, Chandler walked from the 1300 block of Hobart drive to Miller's residence with a 2 gallon can of gasoline.
According to witnesses, Chandler poured gasoline on the front doorway of the residence, making noise which alarmed Miller's boyfriend inside.
When the victim opened the front door, she saw Chandler use a lighter igniting the doorway and Miller. A nearby neighbor was able to help extinguish the fire prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene.
She suffered burns on her face, arms, hands and feet. She was transported to Rideout Hospital emergency room.
Chandler fled the scene when officers arrived at the scene, police conducted an area for the suspect, who was located approximately 25 minutes later at the 1300 hundred block of Hobart Drive.
Chandler was booked into the Yuba County Jail on charges of attempted murder, aggravated mayhem, torture and aggravated arson, his bail is set at $5 million dollars.
