Week three in the Mark Duenas murder retrial resumes with Annette Green taking the stand.
She's the Idaho woman who reportedly engaged in a telephone affair with Duenas before the murder of his wife Karen.
Green says Mark told her that "something bad would have to happen" before the two of them could be together.
However, neither party ever discussed leaving their spouses.
Green cried as she read an apology letter that she had sent to Karen after the affair ended.
She testified that Duenas told her he loved his wife, and would try to be a better husband.
The prosecution's lead investigator Detective Logan Stonehouse is expected to take the stand tomorrow morning.
