Man shot at Chico liquor store

A 46-year-old Chico resident was shot early this morning at the Liquor Bank, located at 915 Main Street.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. the Chico Police Department responded to a reported gun shot. When officers arrived they found a man lying in the parking lot of the Liquor Bank. The man was bleeding from the arm and was combative with officers at the scene and had to be restrained.

The victim was transported to Enloe Hospital for treatment of what was determined to be a gunshot. The man’s injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

At this time information about the suspect is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
