JAMESTOWN, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Northern California are seeking a man and a woman in connection with an armed robbery that left a casino winner out of thousands of dollars.

The Union Democrat reported Saturday the robbery victim was driving to his Groveland-area home after winning $9,000 Thursday afternoon at Chicken Ranch Casino when a woman standing next to a pickup truck with its hood up flagged him to stop.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office says that when he pulled over to assist, a man held him at gunpoint and demanded the money.

The man denied having any money but the male suspect told him he knew he had won at the casino and continued demanding the money.

The man then gave the male suspect the money and both suspects got into the pickup truck and drove away.
