The 33-year-old man who died after a tour bus he was a passenger on rolled over on Interstate 5 in Shasta County Sunday morning has been identified.

The Shasta County Coroner's Office says Octaviano Garcia, of Parlier, died when the bus drifted off I-5, down an embankment and overturned north of Pollard Flat.

30 passengers were transported to area hospitals with injuries, health officials say most have been released, but seven people remain hospitalized. Five people are at Mercy Medical Center in Redding with two in serious condition and three in fair condition. Two patients remain at Mount Shasta Regional, one is in critical but stable condition and the other is listed as stable.

Before the bus crashed near Pollard Flat at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, it was involved in a minor crash a Denny's restaurant in Red Bluff.

Investigators say early indications show driver fatigue may be to blame for both crashes. The driver who has been identified as 67-year-old Jose Victor Garcilazo Palencia of Los Angeles, voluntarily went to California Highway Patrol headquarters for questioning and evaluation.
