Man killed in Oroville crash identified

The Butte County Coroner's office has identified the man killed in a car crash over the weekend in Oroville as 85-year-old Floyd Rogers.

California Highway Patrol reported 1 dead in a t-bone accident south of Oroville Saturday afternoon.

Officers on scene reported Rogers, of Oroville, was in a Ford Taurus when he was hit and killed by an oncoming Ford F-350 pickup truck. The accident happened at the Ophir Road and Feather River Boulevard intersection.

Investigators say Rogers was at a stop sign and for unknown reasons, pulled out in front of the Ford truck.

Rogers was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

His passenger, or the driver in the pickup truck were not injured.
