The Glenn County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed in a fiery crash Saturday morning as 19-year-old Chico resident Austin Sawyer.

Sawyer was killed around 7:30 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his 1991 Pontiac Firebird while traveling northbound on County Road 306. The car slammed into an AT&T utility pole and then burst into flames.

Sawyer's body was burned in the crash, and he was not positively identified until Chico dentist Dr. Eric Eltzroth was able to match dental records.
