A fatal crash overnight in Oroville leaves one man dead after he's thrown from his motorcycle. It happened just after midnight on Pacific Heights Road. CHP officials say a man heading north on his Harley Davidson motorcycle missed a curve in the road and collided with a small tree. According to our crews on scene, the 28 year-old was thrown several hundred feet from the bike. The motorcycle also went through a fence. The man reportedly was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say they believe speed may have been a factor. They also say the victim's motorcycle had Texas license plates, but that he also had an address linking him to Oroville. The victim's name has not been released at this time.
