Man hospitalized after morning stabbing in Orland

A man has been hospitalized following a stabbing in Orland that happened around 9:45 a.m. Monday.

Police say two men were in an argument near a convenience store on 6th and Trinity Streets in Orland when things escalated and one of the men stabbed the other. Police say the two men knew each other, but it is unknown what they were arguing about.

The suspect, 35-year-old Nathan Hunt, fled the scene, but Orland Police officers were able to take him into custody after locating him nearby a shortly after they arrived on scene. Hunt was booked into the Glenn County Jail for attempted homicide.

Officials say the unidentified stabbing victim was alert when they arrived on the scene, but had to be airlifted to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
