One person was burned today in North Chico when a metal building caught fire. The fire started about 1:40 p.m. on Cabin Hollow Court, just Southeast of the Chico Airport.
The building was a woodshop with a living quarters. According to Cal Fire, the sole tennant was able to get out of the 50 x 50 foot commercial/residential building but was treated for burns to his feet.
A portion of the building received smoke and heat damage, but the rest of the building and contents were saved. Damage is estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
