One man was assaulted early this morning after three unidentified males stormed into his home and robbed him and his roommate.

Chico Police officers responded to 735 W. 5th Street just after 12:45 a.m. after two adult males reported the robbery in their home. Before the incident occurred, one of the victims was in his bedroom and the other was in the living room. According to the Chico Police Department, the victim in the living room reportedly heard a knock at his front door. When he looked through the peephole, the victim saw three black male adults wearing partial masks. Before the victim could react, the three men stormed into the living room through the unlocked door. One of the suspects reportedly battered, choked, and restrained the victim in the living room. After hearing the struggle, the second victim locked himself in his bedroom.

After the first victim was restrained, the two other suspects searched the apartment and eventually stole an X-Box video game and a black men’s one-speed bicycle described as a “Fixie”. After stealing the items all three suspects fled the scene.

The victim in the living room suffered minor injuries to his face and did not require medical attention. The area was checked by officers but the suspects were not located.

Further descriptions of the suspects was not released. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Chico Police Department.
