Deputies arrested a man Thursday for allegedly stealing mail, credit cards and bank account information during a string of burglaries in the Red Bluff area.

The Tehama County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the home of 40-year-old David Hasting’s on Shangri-La Way in Red Bluff around 1 p.m. The sheriff’s office said deputies found property that connected Hastings to at least 10 different burglaries in the Red Bluff area.

While investigating the burglaries, detectives learned two victims had their checking accounts used to pay a cell phone bill over the phone, and also learned a victim’s credit card was used at several local businesses. Surveillance video from a grocery store was used to identify Hasting.

Hasting was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on an arrest warrant for one of the burglaries, and additional charges are expected.
