A high speed pursuit in Shasta County early Monday morning ends with one person arrested.
The Shasta county sheriff's office got a call around 12:30 a.m. Monday of a suspicious vehicle on Lassen Avenue near Red Bluff Street in the city of Shasta Lake.
When deputies pulled the vehicle over and asked 28-year-old Kenan Kaler for identification, he then sped off with two passengers inside the car.
Kaler reached speeds of 80 miles per hour heading east on Highway 151 then merged onto I-5 South before slowing and finally coming to a stop about 10 to 15 minutes later on the freeway, south of Lake Boulevard.
Kaler was taken into custody for felony evading and resisting arrest.
Records show Kaler had a warrant for his arrest in Oregon.
