A man is behind bars this morning after a two-hour standoff with Shasta County sheriff's deputies at a Cottonwood trailer park.

Officers were called out to the 3800 block of Main Street around 7:30 p.m. last night after receiving reports that two people had been stabbed.

When deputies arrived on scene, the suspect barricaded himself inside a trailer for nearly two hours before he surrendered and was taken into custody.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken to Mercy Hospital for medical treatment. He was then booked in Shasta County jail.

Both victims were also taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
