Man arrested after firing stolen gun during argument

A man was arrested in Oroville Wednesday after he allegedly fired a stolen gun in the air during an argument.

Sheriff’s deputies say an argument between several men, which broke out near the 1500 block of Sweem Street, ended in gunfire. According to the sheriff’s department, the gunshot was fired into the air and nobody was injured.

Johnny Lewis, 22, was arrested by deputies after the weapon was found to have been stolen.

Lewis faces several charges, including possession of stolen property and negligent discharge of a firearm. His bail has been set at $290,000.
